Fine Art Print: Wonders of Lalish

Photograph of a Yazidi man carrying a sacrificial lamb in the holy temple of Lalish, the holiest sanctuary of the Yazidi faith. The lamb had to be blessed by touching the doorstep of the tomb of Sheikh Adi ibn Musafir, one of the central figures of the Yazidi religion, before being slaughtered later on for a feast. I caught this lucky shot right in the moment when a local carried the lamb back to its shed after the blessing.

This photograph will be printed on highest quality Giclée Fine Art paper (Hahnemühle Pearl) by my trusted printing company based in London. The chosen paper creates really natural black and white images and offers vibrant colour reproduction and great detail. The paper is resin coated with a fibrous feel. The satin finish of the resin coating gives depth to the image which combined with the texture and vibrant colour reproduction gives the image the feel of an oil painting. It is one of the most suitable Fine Art papers for mounting.
