Beirut locals taking a dip in the sea on a hot day in June 2018.
Even though Lebanon's capital Beirut is located directly at the sea, the water is accessible only for a few. While large parts of the city's coastline are heavily polluted by sewage and industrial waste, most swimmable parts are only accessible for members of beach clubs and guests of expensive hotels. Access to clean water is a commodity in Lebanon - and so it was even more surprising to find a few locals swimming in the sea in front of the Corniche Ain Mreisse.
This photograph will be printed on highest quality Giclée Fine Art paper (Hahnemühle Pearl) by my trusted printing company based in London. The chosen paper creates really natural black and white images and offers vibrant colour reproduction and great detail. The paper is resin coated with a fibrous feel. The satin finish of the resin coating gives depth to the image which combined with the texture and vibrant colour reproduction gives the image the feel of an oil painting. It is one of the most suitable Fine Art papers for mounting.
